UPSC Preliminary Exam 2021: UPSC Preliminary Exam 2021 Live, UPSC Civil Services Preliminary Exam Live Updates: The exam was conducted on October 10 in two shifts- the morning session began at 9:30 am, while the afternoon session began at 2:30 pm.
UPSC Preliminary Exam 2021 Live Updates: Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducted the Civil Services Exam (CSE) Preliminary exam today. The exam was earlier scheduled to be held on June 29 but was postponed in view of the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic in the country. UPSC CSE Prelims was conducted today in 77 cities across India.
According to the candidates, the morning shift paper was balanced. Unlike the last two years, more than 20 questions were asked from History. The questions were largely from modern history and art and culture. Around 15-16 questions were asked from Politics and same number of questions were asked in Economy section.
As a change, this year some questions were asked in the sports section. There were three questions from the game including one on the cricket test series.
The exam will be conducted in two shifts – the morning session began at 9:30 am, while the afternoon session began at 2:30 pm. The candidates were advised to reach the examination hall at least 30 minutes before the commencement of the examination. The entrance gates were closed 10 minutes before the exam. No candidate was allowed inside the examination hall after the entrance gate was closed.

Sajal Singh, Founder, Civils Daily said that this year, for the first time in the last 20 years, three questions were asked from the game.
Direct Questions from Politics NCERT (Class 11 & 12). For example: Constitutional Government, Constitutional status of India in 1950, Devi Lal, Essential features indicating the federal character of India. Medieval History remains a focus area with 9 questions.
Environmental questions are inclined towards conventional wisdom. Much attention is paid to the basic understanding of phylum, symbiotic relationships etc. And this trend has been similar to focus more on big organizations like UNEP, UNFCCC etc…
CSAT will be conducted from 2:30 pm
Candidates will appear for the CSAT exam today at 2:30 PM. It was introduced in the year 2011 as a part of UPSC Civil Services Examination (Preliminary) to test the analytical skills, reasoning ability and aptitude of civil services aspirants.
